This stunning Mammoth Ivory handle on a Buck 119 Bowie Straight Blade Knife. The weight of the knife is 7.5 ounces and the dimensions of the Buck 119 are 10.5". The blade itself is approximately 6". The SKU is B-119 MB.
The Buck 119 has been one of the most relied upon knives by hunters and outdoorsmen since 1942. The fixed blade hunting knife has a large hand sharpened clip blade. This allows for control of the tip with a larger cutting surface at the belly of the blade. The aluminum guard at the base of the blade provides protection for our hands.
The handle is built with extremely durable, hand shaped phneloic that will withstand years of tough work. The knife is finished with an aluminum pmmel for a classic look. The knife includes a genuine leather sheath.
420HC Steel is the Buck standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels.
Clip Knife. The crescent tip makes the blade thinner with a sharper point. This shape provides great control for detail work and cutting in tight places!
Mammoth bark forms the outer layer of a mammoth tusk, while mammoth ivory is the inner core of a tusk. Mammoth bark has fascinating patina textures and unique natural colourations while mammoth ivory has a uniform texture and typical “ivory” colourations.
