The pre-historic Mammoth tusks are found as a bi - product of the gold mining industry in Alaska. They are carbon dated to be approximately 25,800 years old. The color of your mammoth tusk may vary due to the minerals in the ground water where the tusks are buried. The varying color of the mammoth tusks make each piece of jewelry unique. Cracks and splits in the ivory occur naturally due to it’s great age. Our materials are considered eco-friendly because no animals were harmed in the making of this beautiful piece of jewelry.
